Water Soluble CBD
For those seeking the latest in product development, we bring you: water soluble CBD capsules.
The hemp plant extract used to make standard cannabidiol (CBD) products like drops, capsules, creams, and gummies is not water soluble. This means your body has to work extra hard to absorb the cannabinoids and terpenes in the oil form of the cannabis plant. Unfortunately, sometimes they even pass through your system without being absorbed at all, and extract that isn’t absorbed can’t provide any benefit to your body. When only a small amount of CBD is absorbed by your body, some of the effect is likely lost.
At Highland Pharms, we’ve taken science one step further by turning oil-based extracts into water soluble CBD powders. This allows your body to take in virtually all of the CBD and other cannabinoids. Typically, you only need about one third of the amount of water-soluble CBD as you would regular CBD to experience the same—or more—benefits.
What is Water Soluble CBD?
Water soluble CBD is created through an extraction process which divides hemp oil into tiny particles. During extraction, the small particles blend with a surfactant to keep them from recombining, and they become fluid in liquids instead of gathering together. Because of their tiny size, they’re easier to absorb than standard CBD products, and you’re more likely to benefit from them.
Why Take Water Soluble CBD?
You may be surprised to learn that many people don’t feel any effects when using CBD in its original oil-based form. Most of them, however, discover their bodies are able to absorb water soluble CBD for maximum benefit. If you’ve tried CBD in the past without noticeable results, it could be due to your body’s inability to break down standard hemp oil extract. Thus, water soluble CBD may be the solution you need to get the most from cannabinoids. If you‘ve already determined that your body has trouble processing other products available on the market, water soluble CBD products are worth trying.

Water Soluble CBD FAQs
Will water soluble CBD work for your condition?
According to guidelines from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), no CBD manufacturer can claim that CBD heals or treats any condition. However, what we can tell you is that we have many customers with a range of conditions (including arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraines, PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, epilepsy, ADHD, IBS, autism, diabetes, psoriasis, and more) who have been using water soluble CBD regularly for a long time. Some report that hemp CBD products help them with the symptoms of their medical conditions, while others report no relief. Many who report positive results say it took them a while to find the best dosage for their bodies. The only way you can be certain they will help with your situation is by trying them yourself.
How often should I take water-soluble CBD?
Weight, metabolism, and dosage affect how often you should take dietary supplements—CBD included. Everyone is different, so you may wish to take them more or less frequently depending on how fast your body tends to process CBD extracts. For beginners, we recommend taking our water-soluble CBD twice a day—once in the morning and once in the evening. After you learn how your body responds, you can adjust your dosage frequency to a schedule that works for you.
How do I know which strength CBD to take?
There is no definitive answer to this question, as the best strength for you depends on your body chemistry. With regular CBD oil, experts recommend beginning with 20–40mg of CBD and increasing the dosage by 5mg each consecutive week until the desired effect is reached. For example, if you start with 30mg and are left wanting, you can increase the amount to 35mg the next week. If you feel you need more, you can increase to 40mg the following week. In most cases, trial and error is needed to help you find a dosage you’re satisfied with. However, as water-soluble CBD is more easily absorbed, most users only need about one third of the amount as they would of regular CBD to experience the same benefits. (1)
Are Highland Pharms water-soluble CBD products made with CBD Isolates or whole plant extracts?
All our products are made with whole plant extracts, meaning they contain CBD in addition to all other cannabinoids and phytonutrients found naturally in hemp plants. However, the processing of extracts into water soluble powders does alter the overall composition of these products, resulting in a different cannabinoid blend. Most people will not notice any difference, but some will.
Does water-soluble CBD work better than regular extract products?
Since the processing of CBD extract into a water-soluble powder affects the composition of the final product, some will notice regular CBD works better, while others will notice more benefits from the water-soluble kind. In the end, your body chemistry dictates which kind of CBD is best for you.
There are two main variances between our water soluble and regular CBD products. First, the bio-availability of our water-soluble CBD allows your body to absorb more cannabinoids than regular CBD. This means you can take it in lower dosages. For example, if you normally take 25mg of regular CBD per serving, you may only need 5–10mg of water-soluble CBD. Second, we’ve added curcumin to our water-soluble CBD capsules as an enhancer.
Can I take these with my other prescriptions?
It's best to consult with your physician about possible drug interactions if you have concerns regarding the use of tinctures, topicals, capsules, and other products made with CBD.
Can I vape water-soluble CBD?
We do not recommend vaping our CBD products and have discontinued our line of vape oils due to public health concerns.
Are CBD oil products legal where I live?
Because Highland Pharms products utilize extract from hemp rather than marijuana, they all have THC levels below 0.3%. As such, our CBD products are federally legal in all 50 states and American territories, as well as in many countries around the world.
