Looking for answers to the question: Are there any negative side effects from using CBD Hemp Oil? While we are limited in what we can say, we CAN pass along what we’ve learned from our customers and from all the research we’ve done.
Keep in mind that hemp has been used in many ways for thousands of years. And, we cannot find the mention or report that anyone has had any fatality or major illness from using hemp in any form in all that time. But, what about less serious side effects? Are there any?
In speaking with all our customers and from our own accounts, it seems that the most common report is of a mildly upset stomach when taking CBD Hemp Oil in larger doses. And, even still, the number who report this is very small. I’d venture a guess to say that maybe 1 in 1000 people have made mention of any sort of upset stomach. And, when it has been mentioned, it is something that has dissipated fairly quickly.
In research that we’ve done, it seems that the only other negative side effect that we’ve been able to uncover is that when taken in very high doses, say 200mg of CBD or higher, a state of dysphoria, or an unhappy emotional state, has set in. But, again, this is only reported when someone has taken exceptionally high amounts of CBD. Keep in mind most people normally take between 3 and 20mg at a time. So, as you can see, 200mg is a very high amount.
The other “effect” that I would mention here, which is one that not many people consider negative, but is a very sound sleep. This is why people with insomnia report positive results when taking CBD Hemp Oil. But, for those who, for whatever reason, don’t want to sleep well, this could be considered a negative side effect. I’ve seen where its been reported that there can be a slightly sedative effect when taken in higher doses. To me, this implies being slightly restful and relaxed. Although, other than at sleep time, I personally have never felt this feeling during the day. One might go on to say that this is the same effect as the reported benefit of anxiety reduction. CBD Hemp Oil has been reported to sort of “take the edge off” anxiety. So, this might be construed as a sedative effect. I guess its all in the interpretation.
Beyond the above info, there’s not much more that we can really report. I would say that roughly half of the customers who purchase from us, end up becoming somewhat regular customers returning from time to time. Of course, none of the above information is intended to treat, cure or diagnose any medical condition. Further, we are prevented by the FDA from making any health claims for CBD Hemp Oil.
We hope you find this information about possible side effects from CBD Hemp Oil helpful and we truly encourage you to share any feedback or personal reports YOU may have.
